What is a Sankalp?

A Sankalp is a conscious intention—remembered through prayer, strengthened through clarity and carried forward through positive action.

A meaningful change often begins before any visible action takes place. It begins with an inner decision— a moment in which we become clear about what we wish to welcome, strengthen or carry forward. Within the Your Sankalp practice, this conscious intention is called a Sankalp.

A Sankalp is not simply something we hope will happen. It is an intention we choose to remember, support through prayer and strengthen through responsible action.

More than a passing wish

A wish can appear briefly and disappear when our attention changes. A Sankalp asks us to pause and become more deliberate.

It may relate to prosperity, learning, peace within the home or another meaningful direction in life. What gives it strength is not only the outcome we desire, but also the clarity and sincerity with which we approach it.

Someone may wish for financial success. A more considered Sankalp might focus on welcoming positive opportunities, making responsible decisions and building steady financial growth.

A student may wish to perform well. Their Sankalp may instead centre on concentration, disciplined learning and the confidence to continue making an honest effort.

The difference lies in direction. A Sankalp connects hope with conscious participation.

A Sankalp begins with clarity

Before expressing a Sankalp, it helps to pause and consider what the intention truly represents.

What am I genuinely trying to welcome into my life?
Why is this important to me?
What actions are within my control?
How can I express this intention positively and responsibly?

A Sankalp does not need to be complicated. One or two clear sentences are often enough.

Avoid forming it through fear, comparison or control over another person. Instead of saying, “I do not want to fail,”

one might say, “I welcome clarity, disciplined effort and positive progress in my learning.”

When an intention involves relationships, it should focus on qualities within one’s own participation—such as patience, understanding,

honest communication and emotional balance—rather than attempting to control another person’s feelings or actions.

Prayer and action belong together!

Prayer can create a moment of calm, sincerity and spiritual connection. Action helps carry the intention into daily life.

For this reason, Your Sankalp does not present a ritual stone as a replacement for personal effort or practical decisions.

The stone serves as a meaningful physical reminder of the intention that has been chosen.

A prosperity-related Sankalp may still require careful planning, skill-building and responsible financial choices.

A learning-related Sankalp may require regular study, rest and disciplined practice.

A peaceful home may require listening, patience and respectful communication.

The ritual gives the intention a meaningful beginning. Daily action helps give it direction.

A Sankalp is not a guarantee that every event will unfold exactly as imagined.

It is a conscious direction supported through prayer, remembrance and positive action.

How to form a personal Sankalp

A helpful Sankalp should feel sincere, understandable and connected with choices that can be carried into daily life.

01
PERSONAL

It should express something meaningful

to you rather than something chosen only because others expect it.

02
POSITIVE

Describe what you

wish to welcome or strengthen, rather

than only what you

wish to avoid.

03
CLEAR

Keep the language

simple enough

that you can

remember and

repeat it naturally.

04
RESPONSIBLE

Include qualities
and actions that

remain within

your own

influence.

05
MEANINGFUL

IChoose words that

feel sincere rather

than dramatic,

forced or overly complicated.

Examples of a clear Sankalp

These examples may be used as a starting point and adapted to reflect the intention being carried.

PROSPERITY

“With gratitude and clarity, I welcome

prosperity, positive opportunities and

responsible financial growth into my life.”

LEARNING

“With clarity and discipline, I open

my mind to knowledge, focused

learning and positive growth.”

PEACE WITHIN THE HOME

“May my home be filled with

peace, understanding, harmony

and positive energy.”

A simple practice for remembering your Sankalp

Your stone arrives prepared through the ritual process connected with your order. After receiving it, you complete a simple personal practice.

01 - Hold

Sit in a clean and peaceful place. Hold the stone gently

between your palms and take three calm breaths.

02 - Chant

Repeat the recommended mantra for your chosen

Sankalp 11 times with calm attention.

03 - Speak

Speak your personal Sankalp clearly, then place the

stone in its recommended location.

You may return to this practice whenever you feel the need to reconnect with your intention. It need not become complicated or burdensome.

Its purpose is to help you pause, remember and continue.

Carrying your Sankalp forward

The most meaningful Sankalp is one that remains present beyond the moment of prayer.

You might see your stone on a desk before beginning important work. You might notice it near your study materials when your focus begins to wander. You might encounter it within your home and remember the patience or harmony you wish to cultivate.

In this way, the stone becomes part of an ongoing relationship between intention and action.

Prayer gives the intention a sacred moment. Your choices give it a path.

Prepared with prayer. Carried forward through intention and action.

Choose an intention that speaks to your journey.
